New Developments 2006

One of the things that we hope makes us stand out from the crowd is our dedication to our technology, and next year we hope to surpass expectations by focusing very pointedly on Publisher-specific improvements and functionality.

Some of the new functionality that you'll see includes new reporting features, enhancements to product feeds and AdTool, improved pool functionality and overall improved reliability and performance of banners, feeds and links.



NEW REPORTING FEATURES

One of the first improvements to be seen will be around the publisher interface and the reports.  This will include both improvements on existing reports as well as some new ones. Some of the new features will include:

  • Cross linking functionality that will allow you to click through to related reports.
  • “My Reports” functionality - Customising reports allowing you to tailor and save reports that you use frequently.
  • Custom metrics, allowing you to create custom metrics to use in reports

ADTOOL & PRODUCT FEED ENHANCEMENTS

Next year we will see a lot of new improvements to AdTool that will enhance performance and reliability. In addition to that we will also introduce several new and powerful features. The new features and functionality will make it easier to create more advanced AdTool units and give you the ability to manage and optimise your AdTool units better. 

Some of these new features include:

  • Increased optimization possibilities
  • Ability to include ads in the template editor
  • Ability to set the height on AdTool units
  • We are also adding Flash and layer capabilities to the editor

The backbone to these enhancements is the product feed functionality.  As well as recently adding powerful new servers to cope with the increasing load of data and use, we will continue to hone the feeds, to improve speed, performance and reliability.

Improved Pool functionality - In addition to being able to use pools with AdTool you will also see a number of new features and functionality in pools.  This will include more optimisation possibilities, capping functionality, custom properties and more. As a result this will help make pools more powerful and versatile but also make them easier to use and require less upkeep.

AdFeeds - Another part of the system that we will be improving is the way that advertisers add and update their banners and graphical elements. Advertisers will now be able to add and update all their creatives through XML AdFeeds as well as adding keywords to each Graphical Element. This will be of most benefit to the advertisers however it will be of great benefit to publishers as creatives and offers can be updated more frequently.

  • Help ensure the reliability of banners, links and product feeds through an automated notification system.
  • Detect errors faster
  • Increase response time for errors
  • Improve the overall level of service

These are just a few of the developments that you can look forward to seeing next year. There will also be continued work on general improvements of existing technology to improve stability, performance and usability.
